Our Story


Our members' operations fall within the traditional territories of many Indigenous Nations and we respect the deep connection Indigenous Peoples have to the land. COFI supports the successful implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) in BC, including the development of shared decision-making frameworks, increased incorporation of Traditional Indigenous Knowledge into forest management practices, and the development of landscape-level planning frameworks that increase Indigenous participation in the forest sector.
